Baptism/Thanksgiving for a Child
If you are thinking of having your child baptised, or maybe you would like to be baptised yourself, the first step is for you to give us a ring and we'll come and visit you. Alternatively, you can come along to one of our services and meet us and we can arrange and time to talk to you about what baptism is, and prepare you for it.
There are 2 types of service you can choose from: a baptism (also called Christening), in which you promise to bring your child up in the community of faith as a follower of Jesus; or a Thanksgiving for the Gift of Child, in which you thank God for your child, and are not required to make such large promises about your own Chrisitan commitment. Feel free to discuss both services with us.
